Shana Galen Presents An Introduction to the Barbican Group and a Giveaway!!!

An Introduction to the Barbican Group

My recent release, Love and Let Spy, is the final (almost) novel in my Lord and Lady Spy series. I say almost because I have a Christmas novella featuring two secondary characters from Love and Let Spy still to come.

But for now, Love and Let Spy is the last novel. When I began the series almost 5 years ago, I didn’t think any farther ahead than the first novel Lord and Lady Spy. In that book, I introduced an elite espionage group called the Barbican. I chose that term because a barbican is a fortified outpost or gateway, often an outer defense on a castle. I thought that seemed an appropriate title for an organization taxed with protecting the Crown.

In Lord and Lady Spy and the subsequent books, I had fun introducing several members of the Barbican group.

Here’s a short primer for any of you who are new to the series.

Shana Galen is the bestselling author of fast-paced adventurous Regency historicals, including the RT Reviewers' Choice The Making of a GentlemanBooklist says, "Galen expertly entwines espionage-flavored intrigue with sizzling passion," and RT Bookreviews calls her "a grand mistress of the action/adventure subgenre." She taught English at the middle and high school level off and on for eleven years. Most of those years were spent working in Houston's inner city. Now she writes full time. She's happily married and has a daughter who is most definitely a romance heroine in the making. 1. I love Stephanie Lauren's Cynster series and Grace Burrowes Windham series. Both authors have written other series and it's fun when a character or two from the original series pops in for a visit in a new book.

  3. I do I am currently reading the Robyn Carrs series Thunder point the currant book is The Homecoming. I also am following Julianne MacCleans The Color of ,..... and there are a few more. I am glad that authors have decided to also include series work within their writing although 1 book that starts and ends and then there is no follow-up you always think wow what if this person and this person got together. Shana writes a lot of good books also.

  4. I'm new to historical romances so I haven't read any series yet. I'm going to start with Shana's spy series. I was given an ARC of Love and Let Spy to read and review and I loved it! 5 stars! I'm sure I'll love the others too.

  6. I love the Stephanie Laurens Cynster Series and the Bastion Club Series. I love Paranormal and I think Colleen Gleason had a good Historical/Paranormal combination in her Gardella Vampire Hunter Series. I am also on the second book in a series by Samantha Grace which I am really liking!
